Match

We’ve set aside $10,000 to be shared among all gifts to Ohio State funds from March 20 - May 30, 2025.

The match boost will be applied to the same fund as the gift.
Every gift will be amplified equally: At the end of the campaign, we’ll count the total number of individual gifts and then divide the $10,000 match evenly among those gifts. For example, if we receive 1,000 gifts, each gift will unlock $10 from the match pool (that’s $10,000 ÷ 1,000).
Existing gifts are not boosted, unless they are increased during the matching period. If you have a payroll deduction gift and you increase it, your gift will receive a boost.
No gift too big or too small: Because the boost is based on the number of gifts, not the size, each gift gets the same additional amount added.
Match period: Mailed gifts are counted based upon date received, so be sure to mail in time. Electronic gifts are counted for the date submitted. Payroll deduction gifts are counted for the date submitted.
Only gifts to Ohio State funds are matched. Gifts directly to Pelotonia are not matched.
Gifts are matched to the individual employee donor. If two employees are married, only the employee giving the gift will be matched. If both married employees give gifts, both gifts are matched separately.
Non-charitable gifts, such as those qualifying for football tickets, are not matched.
